Who sees you

Sessions are given by Maity Rincón Reinberg, clinical psychologist registered with the Federation of Psychologists of Venezuela under number 17855. She works online from any country and in person at her office in Maracaibo. Sessions are in Spanish.

What this service is and is not

This is professional psychological support. It is not an emergency service and it does not replace a medical or psychiatric consultation. No medication is prescribed and no diagnosis is issued by email, by WhatsApp or through the site.

The tests you can take here are orientative: they give you an idea of how you are today, not a diagnosis. A diagnosis only comes from an assessment with the psychologist.

Booking a session

When you book through the site, you choose a service, a day and a free time. Your request stays pending until Maity reviews it; you will get an email when it is confirmed. Booking does not hold the time until that moment.

If you are under age, you need your mother, your father or your legal guardian to authorise the consultation and to know about it. When booking a session for a teenager, whoever books declares that they are their guardian or have their permission.

Payment

The price of each service is published on the site, in US dollars. Payment is made before the session, by the means Maity tells you when confirming. If you pay in another currency, the rate of the day is used.

Cancelling or changing your time

You can cancel or move your session by giving at least 12 hours' notice, writing on WhatsApp or replying to the email of your appointment. With less notice, or if you do not show up, the session counts as given.

If Maity has to cancel or move a session, she will let you know as soon as possible and offer you another time at no cost.

Online sessions

For an online session you need a stable connection, a private place where nobody can hear you and headphones if possible. The video call link arrives in the confirmation email and in the reminder.

If the connection fails for technical reasons and the session cannot take place, it is rescheduled at no cost. Recording the session without the express permission of both parties is not allowed.

Confidentiality and its limits

Everything said in session is confidential and protected by professional secrecy. There are three exceptions, recognised by professional ethics: when there is serious risk to your life or someone else's, when there are signs of abuse of a minor or a vulnerable person, and when a judicial authority requires it.

Use of the site

The content of the site (texts, blog articles and images) belongs to Maity Rincón Reinberg. You can read it and share its links; copying or reproducing it requires her permission.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date below is updated. Changes apply to bookings made after that date.
